# Launchpad

## Overview

DeFi & on-chain coin launches today suffer from two major issues:

1. for users, it can be hard to discover new launches due to the wealth of information available, and even if a user identifies a strong opportunity, they may struggle to find deeper information and to differentiate a scam from something real
2. for developers, without centralized exchange connections or access to the right individuals, it can be hard to meaningfully bootstrap liquidity or community for a token

Thruster Launch we intend to make moves toward solving these two issues simultaneously.

Thruster Launch is a suite of permissionless, open-source launch tools allowing prospective protocols and teams to bootstrap a utility or governance token directly to the burgeoning Thruster userbase and Blast ecosystem. Thruster Launch is intended for both non-technical and technical users, enabling a broader range of protocols to launch simply.

As an open source project, Launch is always evolving.

Namely, Thruster contributors are working in tandem with a number of other protocols to bring the best launch features to market to fairly distribute and bootstrap utility and governance tokens.

* **In-house Launch Mechanisms**: We will be building a number of in-house launch mechanisms to allow fair launches, merkle root creation and claim functionality, etc.
* **Metadrop Easy Deployment:** In partnership with Metadrop, a meta/memecoin launch platform, we will allow easy deployments of simple tokens to the Thruster Classic AMM in a way that allows builders to capitalize on the latest metas.
* **Baseline Pools:** In partnership with Baseline, Thruster will be providing Baseline’s permissionless token launch and liquidity tool that leverages dynamic concentrated liquidity and protocol-owned liquidity to create more healthy conditions for fair token distribution and price discovery.
* **Liquidity Targeting / Enhanced Incentives:** Across all pool types, we will be implementing a liquidity targeting system through a number of partners—automated liquidity managers, vault creators, and yield boosters—to give builders an opportunity to target a specific amount of liquidity for their utility or governance token. It is the view of Thruster contributors and partners that liquidity begets users and vice-versa.

Underpinning all this, we will be building discovery tools directly into Thruster. Info discovery is one of crypto’s greatest user experience hurdles and we hope to solve that.

We also intend on ensuring that the native yield features we are building into Thruster incentives for native Blast teams to use Thruster over alternatives.
